- This act is also for the minorities who are compelled to take refuge in India due to exploitation in their countries of origin based on their religion or religious persecution.
- These migrants can live anywhere in the country after having Indian citizenship and have all the rights that an Indian citizen has.
- Muslims from these countries are not included in this bill because they are not a minority in these countries.
- In addition, Sri Lankan Tamils in India, Rohingya, and Tibetan refugees from Myanmar are also not included in this bill.
